Alex Cowell

Alex is a Non-Exec Director at South East Angels, helping to shape the strategy of the region’s most active angel group. He founded UK Top 250 digital agency Cubeworks in 2002, which was acquired in 2013. Since then, Alex has focused on early-stage angel investing in B2C technology, participating in eight pre-seed and seed rounds since 2015.

Alex is also the founder and CEO of Sponsorworks, a market-leading B2B SaaS company that assists global brands, including Diageo, NBC Universal, Philips, and Qatar Airways, in automating the management and evaluation of their corporate hospitality and event portfolios. Raising investment for Sponsorworks in 2023 was a transformative experience for Alex, providing him with a unique perspective as an angel investor on the other side of the fundraising fence.
